Bad Boss
Hi, thanks for the booklet.
My badboss story is so long that I believe the more I talk about it the more it seems real and like it only happen yesterday.
Full of hope and encouragement my boss was new and finding her own feet in our small rural hospital. I myself was injured and redeployed into a clerical position as I could no longer work clinically. The injury occured whilst on duty in the emergency room however it was complicated due to my contract and being employed from another state.
Anyway, one minute I had complete support, understanding and encouragement however this was soon depleted leaving me to fend for myself in a very difficult job and setting as I was not qualified but did complete the role given to me.
All this occured 3 years ago however as previously said feels like yesterday.
I also endured abuse from senior members of staff who according to our code of conduct policies are meant to lead by example. I find it funny how once people get power how they abuse it for their own personal gain, and these types of people go on to further their own nests at the detriment of those weaker than themselves.
Well I have sort counselling and anger management at my bosses insistance as I totally lost control, swore and then stormed out of a seniors meeting.
Counselling revealed however that my outburst was totally within reason given the circumstances and that I did display anger management however even today this is not recognised.
For me I found solace in a number of different methods - meditation, pray, walking, crying and gardening basically doing things that I find enjoying and bascially do not require financial outlay.
I have bad days of depression and self doubt but I refuse to give in to it (usually spend a week but have gotten this down to a day. Ultimate aim to get it to a thought and then through positive reinforcement change these negative thoughts instantly).
I found different books and movies and programs and comments other people make all give me direction and understanding. It is not easy but I keep trying.
